Typing on tablets, phones and other mobile devices is really a deceitful task to be done as it‘s awkward, frustrating and also a bit inefficient same as rooting for the Chicago Cubs.
Texas based startup have found a way by which we can get a rid of the mobile keyboard problem entirely.
This “keyboardless keyboard” project is currently in the early sample phase which allows you to type on any kind of surface or none at all too. The special feature of this is unlike other projection keyboards which uses a virtual keyboard image displayed on a flat surface, this AirType have no need of any visual component at all.
Instead of all this, the Air Type keyboard uses a pair of cuff-like sensor units which go over your knuckles and around your hands. Its units track your finger movements and detect which keys you’re striking or would strike on your mobile or tablet keyboard.
This project has some built in adaptive technology due to which it can adjust with the human habits. Somehow it is similar to the voice recognition software which can teach and recognize your speech patterns.
These AirType cuffs are small size and mobile too which can easily be clipped onto your tablet same as the pair of friendly barnacles.
